People Source Logo

People Source is a staffing agency that specializes in providing light industrial workers, truck drivers, construction, and skilled trades talent. Based in Oklahoma City, they have offices in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Arkansas.

Tasked to simplify and jazz up information-heavy job posts for social media, the challenge was to find the right blend of humor and empathy to break through the clutter. 

The posts were successful and garnered more likes among candidates than previous posts. It also created excitement among People Source Staffing managers who would frequently request specialized posts for jobs in their individual markets.

Keeping consistency over messaging between markets was a key focus so that no matter where the job postings were seen, there was a unified voice that was distinctly People Source Staffing.

Nancy's goal with her social media posts was to establish herself as a friend and home expert that extends her service well beyond the initial buying or selling of the property. Her brand's image is that of a "Realtor for Life." Her brand is vibrant, energetic, and accepting. The social media content and the videos work in tandem to communicate a reliable and authentic champion for her clients.

Nancy wanted her videos to showcase one of her strongest assets, her current clients. 'Meet Nan' showcases her personality and highlights the home buying process. In 'First Time Home Buyers', current clients give advice and advocate for Nancy's expertise and qualifications as a realtor.

KiZE Concepts

Energy Bites

The goal of the campaign was to launch KiZE Concepts in the OKC market.

 

The copy was designed to create a conversational, everyday Joe appeal that communicated with high-energy and supportive candor to compliment the company's philanthropic and social interests.

The challenge was communicating about the product without using the term 'energy bar'. Since their launch, they've embraced the term but, at the time, they wanted none of it because of the negative perception their health-conscious target had of energy bars as an unhealthy fuel source.

WEBSITE DESIGN - BJM Home Restoration & Repair

BJ Matthews is out of Oklahoma City. The owner, Bird, wanted their website to elevate the business from a run of the mill handyman to a more upscale design specialist for current and future clients.

 

Taking away the clutter with a sleek design, the site adds touches of glitz in the details. From the customized social media icons to crisp animation on the landing page, the site appeals both to the upscale clientele as well as those more down-to-earth home owners.

The Fan of Fans website is dedicated to all things fandom. It was used as a teaching tool for college students and was designed to help them understand how businesses and nonprofits use their websites in tandem with social media campaigns.

Fan of Fans Landing Page

The goal of the site was to encourage interaction on social media and engagement on the website's blog and contest pages.

 

The landing page encourages engagement by asking the visitor to 'click into' the site.

The site comes with pages on the history of fandom, a contact page, a blog, and a mascot page to give visitors more engagement opportunities with the organization.

The About page was written using a supportive, energetic, and appreciative tone.

Mooseville USA - a Creative Portfolio

Mooseville USA was designed as a teaching tool to educate students about web design, content development, video and audio production, journalism, script writing, and communication.

 

Mooseville is a story told through news media about a fictional town nestled in the heart of America. I play the Mayor and every other character. The site includes blogs, videos, audio work, and is designed as a parody website.

The 'Meet Mooseville' campaign's goal was to entertain viewers while creating an identity of serious playfulness for the town's concept.

The Mooseville USA website is designed to encourage visitors to contribute content and to showcase a range of information, talent, and online entertainment opportunities for site visitors.

Mooseville's population increased with each new follow on its social media platforms. At its peak popularity, Mooseville had nearly 1,500 residents.

"Put a Little Woo Hoo In Your Day" was the Big Idea that launched the lottery in Oklahoma. The campaign ran for several years and included numerous executions including the initial launch, educational benefit reinforcements, :10 and :15  teasers, and the launch of Powerball.

Green Mesa was a local cannabis and CBD shop located in Moore, Oklahoma. Tasked with creating marketing that looked clean with the goal of elevating the business from one of negative perception as a seedy drug dealer into that of a respected health care provider. To increase foot traffic and repeat customers, non-traditional methods of marketing were used including door hangers, flyers cards, in store promotional displays, and special events.

Eskridge Lexus OKC Ad

Keeping the same voice across multiple print vehicles on the local level to enhance the larger national brand messaging is one of the biggest challenges of marketing in the auto industry. 'Bulls Fit For a China Shop' strives to keep a confident and upscale tone that's distinctly Lexus.

Longer format writing for brochures, newsletters, website copy, and some print vehicles is a great way to reinforce brand tone across a variety of communication opportunities. This brochure for the Lexus GS launch focuses on delivering complicated and technical information in shorter, more visually appealing blurbs, making it slightly easier for customers to digest, retain, and ultimately purchase.

Star Alliance Network is an airline alliance program headquartered in Germany with 25 members across the world.

This hand-drawn Star Alliance holiday card was sent to all of their members, which at the time included airline executives and their employees in 15 countries. The business to business direct marketing effort included a personalized Rubik's Cube with every partner's logo.

It was regarded as a success and created buzz among the airlines' employees. Many of the partners commented on how they appreciated the thoughtful personalization from their advertising agency that year.

Creativity can't overpower the message, but adding a little personality into an organization like Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Oklahoma can go a long way to humanizing a company.

Oxygen.com's tongue-in-cheek undeniably feminine campaign was designed to educate women on the types of content available on their site. Unfortunately, the client chose to go with another campaign and this series was never produced beyond the in-house presentation phase. Still, solid copy and Big Idea.
